Who We Are
Out of the Ashes is a faith-based ministry with a mission to break the chains of addiction and homelessness—one person at a time. We restore individuals to their true identity in Christ, help them become productive members of society, and reunite families.
We also have a thrift store that people can donate and purchase items to help support the ministry located at 225 West Main St., Spindale, NC come on in and get yourself a good deal or help contribute to be part of the solution. We’re grateful for everybody that praises and supports us. We couldn’t do it without you. God bless you abundantly.
Who we are not
A dumping ground
We do not do walk-ins, all individual seeking services must conduct a brief phone assessment by calling 828-395-2000
We are not a psychiatric facility, we are not a Detox, we are not a group home, we’re not a hospital.
You don’t have to be saved or a Christian to receive assistance from us.
We are not less than or better than anyone else. We’re simply sharing the Love of the Lord in truth and Love towards all people. We are trying to change the world we live in one person at a time by demonstrating the Gospel.
What We Do
• Drug & Alcohol-Free Campus – All adult participants are tested to maintain a safe and sober environment.
* provide housing, hygiene, support services, food
• Licensed Therapy & Support Services – Your support allows us to provide group therapy and treatment from licensed providers.
• Transportation Assistance – We ensure participants have access to public transit, reducing foot traffic in neighborhood streets.
• ID & Social Security Assistance – We help participants obtain the necessary documents to re-enter the workforce.
• Job Readiness & Placement – We proudly reintegrate individuals into the workforce, drug- and alcohol-free.
– all of our participants provide community service and help clean up in our community, or volunteer opportunities.
Breaking the Stigma
Not all of our participants struggle with substance use or mental health challenges. One-third of them are over the age of 55. Many have simply fallen on hard times and need a second chance.
